What Portillo Fences needed
A WordPress fencing site rebuilt custom in Next.js, with location pages that are genuinely worth reading rather than the same page with the town name swapped in.
What we did
Portillo Fences and Gates sells across six New York counties, from Putnam and Westchester up through Dutchess, Orange, Ulster and Rockland, and their WordPress site needed to become something faster that they actually owned. We rebuilt it custom in Next.js. The interesting work was the location pages. The usual way to produce those is to duplicate one page and swap the town name, which is a doorway page, and Google treats it as one.
We created location pages that are unique and engaging, each one worth reading on its own, so they earn their rankings instead of risking a penalty. Every address from the old site points at its new home, so nothing they had already earned was lost in the move, and the design, the content, the domain and the accounts are theirs.
