## What DogServ needed

A dog-care site moved off WordPress onto a hand-built Next.js site, with answers for dog owners, free tools and a directory that helps dog businesses get found.

## What we did

DogServ is one of our own sites, built for two kinds of reader: the dog owner who needs a clear answer about their dog, and the person who runs a dog business and wants to be found. Owners get plain answers to everyday dog-care questions and free tools they can use on the spot.

Business owners get guides to running and growing a dog business, written in English and Spanish, and a national directory of dog businesses that is being built state by state. The hard part was the directory. Getting that many listings onto the site was the biggest problem, because WordPress hosting plans did not have the bandwidth or resources to handle them.

So, we moved the site off WordPress to a hand-built Next.js site on cloud hosting, which can carry a directory of that size. Every part of it, from the listings to the domain, is owned outright. We also designed its logo and built its brand.
